Last couple of months I have been active on Digital Point webmaster forum, especially the adult section. While DP doesn’t have a full fledged adult forum, I still like to stay there since I often find some good link exchanges or some good mainstream internet marketing tips. Recently many webmasters have asked me how to get into adult business and how to build adult websites. Many of these were through private messages and these webmasters are total newbies.
I have posted a simple 10 steps guide for anyone who are starting into adult sites at the forum. I thought you guys must be interested to read the same. So here it is.

1. Join an adult forum like Netpond.

2. Go to the newbie board and read every tutotial and learn the basics

3. Buy a domain name

4. Get a reliable hosting

5. Signup for few reputed adult sponsors who offers free content for affiliates.

6. Use the free content to build galleries and freesites. (4 page mini sites)

7. Submit galleries to TGPs and Freesites to LinkLists

8. Start a blog

9. When you start making money, reinvest in few more domains and good hosting.

10. Build.. submit.. forget. Build more submit more… and make more money.

Classic Link Baiting

Being an Adult webmaster, I am a regular at Netpond, a popular adult webmaster forum. Netpond is one of the busiest webmaster forum with thousands of webmasters posting everyday. But when I checked the site today, I saw this big message on black background. Netpond is hacked!! Here is a screen shot of what I saw.

Edit: Netpond is back to normal now.
At first I was surprised, because I know netpond is on cyberwurx servers and uses vbulletin and I have only heard good things about them. But after taking a second look at the site, I understood that it wasn’t really hacked. They are updating their VBulletin to a new version and the whole hacked thing was joke. I spoke to some of my adult webmaster friends and confirmed this.
Now, what netpond did is a classic form of link baiting. Being a very popular forum especially related webmasters, thousands of webmasters would have noticed this and many like me will write about this in their blog. This will bring in hundreds of links to them in couple of days. Being offline for a day will cost netpond a lot of money. But this is something which they can’t avoid in case of a database error or a major maintenance. But instead of just keeping it offline, netpond crew decided to utilize the opportunity to bring in more incoming links through link baiting.
This type of link baiting may not work for a new site. But if you have lot of regular traffic especially webmaster traffic, you might want to consider this form of link baiting when you do a server maintenance or moving your servers.

Technorati Blog Claim

If you are a user of Technorati, you probably know that you can claim your blogs to appear them on your profile. Now, some of my blogs are not getting updated in technorati. I am not sure what is going on. But I have heard that others have also simialr experience. So I was wondering if blog claim would help my blog to get updated in technorati.
I went to technorati to claim a blog then I found that they have a new option to claim the blog. Previously we need to use the wordpress or blogger password at technorati to claim the blog. Otherwise we had to insert a special code for the spider. Now technorati made it even easier. I only need to write a post with link to profile using the tag they provide. Like this one. Technorati Profile. Then click on release spider button at technorati. Simple. I can even delete this post once my blog is claimed. Cool. Huh?

During the past few days I was looking for sites where we can create webpages easily. I still remember the days when I looked at beautiful porn sites and wondered how they build those naughty sites. Then I learnt a bit of html and started creating small web pages. When I came across wordpress blogs, things became much easier. But even with wordpress, you need basic skills to create good blogs, though it is much easy to learn. So, I was looking for sites with drag and drop type features with which anyone can build sites. And I came across Squidoo and Hubpages. It is easy to create webpages with them. But do not, I repeat do not copy or use the content or design from another website. That is not ethical and is against the copyright act. Here are some of the web pages I created using squidoo and hubpages. Hope you will like them.

Update: Hubpages no longer allows adult content and Squidoo is deleting or blocking lot of adult related blogs. So, I would say you better go with thumblogger which is dedicated for adult blogs. If you like wordpress you can choose sensual writer. Both are run by the same team, Just different blogging platforms. Here is a blog I created at thumblogger. It took just 10 minutes!
